St. Alban's has provided 150 Years of Christian Service in Acton, Ontario and surrounding communities.
"As a vibrant and visible Parish community, we seek growth by contributing spiritual strength and service to the community, thus bringing people into a deeper relationship with God through Jesus Christ, our Lord."
Our covenant in ministry is based on our baptismal covenant; by which, in accordance with our confessed belief in the Holy Trinity; we commit to continuing in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship in the breaking of bread and in the prayers; to persevere in resisting evil and, whenever we fall into sin, to repent and return to the Lord; to proclaim by word and example the good news of God in Christ; to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbour as ourselves; and to strive for justice and peace among all people, respecting the dignity of every human being.
As members of the body of Christ, implicit within this covenant are the intentions and mutual expectations of the covenanting parties to each other and recognition of the blessings that flow from being in such a relationship.
Building on the four foundational values of the Diocesan Vision: “Spiritual Discipline,” “Valuing Diversity,” “Honesty & Integrity” and “Passion and Hard Work,” St. Albans is moving towards “Living the Diocesan Vision”. This covenant is affirmed by Michael, Bishop of Niagara and is created with the intent that it reflects our understanding of our part in the fulfillment of God’s mission. It is shaped by and is consistent with the ministry goals articulated in the Diocesan vision.
